Clapton Craft x Brick Brewery
Our friends at Clapton Craft Forest Hill came to brew a collaborative beer with us back in July and it’s finally ready for release! Brewing a Saison beer for the first time and in the height of this summer’s heatwave, we used inspiration from Pete’s, our headbrewer, fond memories of holidays in France for the ingredients and flavours in the beer; think juicy apricots from the local markets and freshly baked bread from the boulangerie… all enjoyed in between jumping into the pool or sea to cool down.
The guys at Clapton Craft came down to the brewery for the day to help us brew; expect a hint of tartness, lush aroma and juicy taste from the apricots finishing on the bready, black pepper spice expected from Saison yeast.
As well as helping us brew, the label was designed by Clapton Craft Forest Hill’s Manager, Ben – who interpreted the story and beer into a truly summer experience.
Enjoy ‘Je Ne Saison Quoi’ at our Taproom in Peckham from Friday 24thAugust where we are launching the beer, as well as the Clapton Craft Forest Hill shop. Come down and chat to the Brick Brewery team about the beer in an informal tasting session from 6pm.
The beer will be available for your growler fills at Clapton Craft Forest Hill from Friday 24thAugust, as well as being able to pick up cans.
